The Measurement of Bilingualism

Please view these videos and give your reflection on the different assessments used. What is your experience assessing ELL students?

To a Taiwanese, assessment is always terrifying, because it represents number and even more, your future. But as video mentioned, if the teacher can treat it as a teaching and recognize where the students are and where they should go, assessment is a tool to help students improve and a channel for the teacher to give them support so it can happen all the times.
Meanwhile, diverse assessment is trendy now, demonstration of rubrics can lead students to have an explicit idea about learning. After watching this clip, I also realize if the assessment could be held by a team not only one person it can be more objective and helpful.
